SVMF Guild President David Collins presents SVMF Board chairwoman Leigh Devier with a $20,000 check at its Annual Membership Appreciation Luncheon at Bryce Resort on Dec. 12, 2019.

Basye, Va. — The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Guild, the fundraising arm of SVMF, held its Annual Member Appreciation Luncheon at Bryce Resort on Dec. 12 to honor members for their yearlong efforts to raise money for the nonprofit concert series held each summer at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs.

Guild President David Collins presented an $20,000 check to SVMF Board Chairwoman Leigh Devier at the luncheon. It was the largest donation made to the Festival since the Guild was formed in 1992.

“This a remarkable group of people,” said Dennis Lynch, president and executive director of Shenandoah Valley Music Festival. “We appreciate the work they do and the fun they have raising money for the Music Festival.”

The Guild raises money for the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival through fees for monthly luncheons, raffle drawings, dinner theater outings and other special events scheduled throughout the year. The Guild also raises money through its ice cream sales at the Festival’s concerts and its Annual Holiday Bake Sale Auction, where participants make generous bids on cakes, cookies, pies, pastries and various gift items.

All SVMF Guild luncheons and events are open to the public. For more information on upcoming events and membership, email: svmfguild@gmail.com.
